Take a bao this September and October! 25 Degrees Singapore launches a new time-limited burger, The Hambaoger. Enjoy an East meets West twist on the classic burger and bao.
Also known as baozi or steamed bun, the bao is popular in many Chinese cultures and South-East Asian cuisines. There are many variations in the fillings and preparation methods, but the bao is generally steamed and served in a bamboo basket.
One of the most well-known bao is the Cantonese char siew bao – a steamed bun filled with barbecue flavoured pork. The term “char siew” is coined from the traditional cooking method for the dish, where long strips of seasoned boneless pork strips are skewered and cooked over a fire. Some popular pork cuts used for char siew are pork belly, pork loin and pork shoulder.
Give your taste buds a treat with an East meets West twist on the classic char siew bao. The 25 Degrees’ Hambaoger features a juicy beef patty topped with char siew – made from pork jowl, hoisin sauce, pickled ginger, Japanese cucumber, coriander. The Hambaoger is finished off with a tangy Sriracha mayonnaise and sandwiched between two fluffy house-made bao buns.
Served in the classic bamboo steamer, The Hambaoger is available at $16++ till the end of October 2021.
Exclusively offered through September and October for dine-in, delivery or takeaway.
